it all started with muddy hiking shoes & some really good banana bread
The Wonderift story began in 2017 on our honeymoon trip to Kauai. We spent those days Jeeping around the island, swimming in the ocean, getting our hiking shoes muddy on the Napali Coast—and making every excuse to stop at the local coffee shacks along the way.
The extra casual vibe of the roadside coffee stands stuck with us, so we set out to create a Phoenix version—a place in our own community, close to our favorite trails, with great espresso and unreal banana bread.

Wonderift is a local owner-operated small business intentionally built and designed for the South Mountain community offering Arizona-roasted coffee, a curated tea selection, house bakes and syrups, and locally-made bagels.

Yes, Wonderift is near South Mountain Park & Preserve. We’re located nearby multiple South Mountain trail access points (the closest is just across the street) and we’re 3-miles from Pima Canyon Trailhead.

Wonderift is located within Equestrian Centre at the cross streets of the Warner-Elliot Loop & Equestrian Trail. Onsite parking spots are available.

You can park your bike at one of the two bike racks located within Equestrian Centre. Remember to lock it up securely. Our friends at Emigos bike shop stock and sell bike locks if you need one.
